Clark County Extension Council to Host Food Drive
in place of Farm/City Night
Clark County Extension Council has made the decision to suspend holding Farm/ City Night for 2021 and hopes to reinstate the event in 2022. Extension Council members will be hosting a Food Drive to benefit the Food Pantry Saturday, February 27th from 9-11 am. The Extension Council members will be set up in
the parking lots of C & R Market, Mac’s Super Saver, and Dollar General in Kahoka to collect canned food items.
Recent News
CCR-1 High School held their annual “Pack the Place Pink” game on Friday, February 12th. The teams took on South Shelby in the contest. Students involved in basketball, cheerleading, drill and dance, along with members of the community wore pink to the game to show support and help raise money for local cancer support. Clark Co. Nursing Home Valentine
King and Queen
At the Clark County Nursing Home, they have been celebrating Valentine's all week. The staff drew names for Secret Valentine's and the residents have been receiving secret gifts each day. Friday, February 12th was their annual Valentine's Party and the 2021 King & Queen were announced and the "secrets" revealed.
The Queen is Edith Dochterman and the King is William Hackney, congratulations to both!
Krueger and Steele Families Honored as Century Farms
Please join us in congratulating Milton and Doris Krueger, and John and Brenda Steele who have been recognized through the Missouri Century Farm program for 2020. We are disappointed that we will not have the opportunity to recognize them publicly with Farm/City Night cancelled for 2021. Please see the February 16th issue of the Hometown Journal as both families share the history and stories of their family's ownership of these farms.

Clark County Minister's Association Lenten Schedule 2021
The Clark County Minister's Association will be hosting the County annual Lenten Services utilizing their Facebook page; Clark County Minister's Association. The Service will be on the page on Wednesday's at 6 pm beginning February 17, 2021. The theme for this year's services will be taken from John - Light of the World.
