                      Clark County Recognized for Zero Fatalities in 2020

   On Tuesday morning Cpl. Justin Dunn, with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and a representative of the Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety, presented the Clark County Commissioners Joe Humes, Henry Dienst and Buddy Kattelmann and Clark County Sheriff Shawn Webster with a poster, along with some Coke Zero and Lifesavers, as a small token of the work taken by everyone to help save lives and get the message out about roadway safety.

                                    Bathrooms Project Nears Goal
    Additional donors have helped in progress the fundraising efforts of the Clark County Junior Livestock Committee for their Bathrooms Project.
Currently $31,208.00 of the $35,000 needed to be raised to establish new bathrooms on the Clark County Fairgrounds.
  As the fundraising campaign advances on it’s goals, plans are being made to break ground on the project as soon as the final funding is secured and weather allows with plans for the bathrooms to be in place and operational for the Clark County Fair in mid-July 2021.

    A retirement celebration was held on Thursday, April 8th for Wood Builders Lumber & Home Center owner Mick Wood who is retiring after 33 years in business.
  On Friday, April 9th Wood Builders Lumber & Home Center in Kahoka had a change of ownership with new owners Michael Phillips, Matt Plenge, Cyrus Phillips and Keith Phillips taking over the business. The business will now be called Kahoka Lumber Company.          
  Let's give them a warm welcome into this business   adventure. Be sure to see one of our upcoming issues as we highlight the new         owners and their plans for the business.
